A school for Nefa

This project is about building a new school in Nefa, a little town in Cameroon, where many children now attend lessons in dirty classes, on bare earth, not unusually under the rain.

There are now over 600 kids that attend this kind of lessons, but in a real building this number could easily overcome the thousand units.

Schools are a primary, fundamental mean to help a lot of people come out of misery and ignorance, and start leading a decent life, which is not only a right of every human being, but also a benefit that will globally impact everyone.

Safe buildings are not cheap, anywhere. Our estimate is this:

  • every room in the building will cost about € 4.000
  • we need at least 12 rooms to accomodate all children
  • thus, our final aim is to reach € 48.000

Without any doubt, there are other projects which are worthy of attention and donations; nevertheless, we decide to focus on this one because we really believe that learning can improve the lives of these kids.

Our policy

Instead of asking a few people for large amounts of money, we will try to reach a vast number of people and ask everyone of them for a small amount.

On top of that, we will do start building rooms as soon as we have enough money. So as soon as we reach € 4.000 we will start building, and so on.

Therefore, sums starting from € 5, € 10, € 20 are perfectly acceptable.

The "Donate" buttons you find around this site are preset on € 10.

This site speaks 5 languages: amongst them, reaching 4.800 different people who can donate € 10 each is not such an impossible idea after all :-)
